July 4th is here and there are many parades for me to attend. This year you will find me at the Jefferson City parade later today, the O’Fallon parade on the 4th, and the Lincon County parade on the 6th. I encourage anyone who is interested, to attend these parades and help me celebrate our independence.
The 4th is an exciting time for me because it is an opportunity to get together with friends and family, have fun, and truly reflect on how great it is to be an American. Not only am I proud to be an American but I am also proud to be a Missourian surrounded by all the hard-working and good spirited people of our state. As I celebrate our independence this weekend, I will know that I am celebrating it with some of the best people in this nation.
I hope you all enjoy this 4th of July!

Have you ever wanted to be an integral part of a campaign but never really knew how to get involved? Or are you a veteran election-season volunteer? Either way, our County Leadership Team program is just for you.
Our campaign is looking for dedicated volunteers in every corner of the state to lead our campaign efforts in their home area. Duties of a County Leadership Team member can range from hosting a campaign house party, leading canvassing efforts, distributing yard signs, placing phone calls, and much more. We also rely on our County Leaders to help build a presence at important local events like fairs, parades and rallies. It is every day people that have made our campaign successful so far and will ensure a victory on August 5th. I hope you will consider joining one of our County Leadership Teams today.
If you would like to be a part of a Harris for Missouri County Leadership Team, please contact Brian at brian@electjeffharris.com .
Thanks to people like you across Missouri, we have built a successful campaign that continues to gain momentum every day!
All the best,
JH

The Harris for Missouri campaign is going to make this Friday the 13th Jeff’s lucky day by adding 1,300 new names to our campaign email list!
Jeff’s campaign has quickly earned the reputation as the most “net-savvy” statewide campaign so far in this election year! Our campaign is successfully using the Internet to communicate with voters across the state, and we are developing a committed “net-roots” base.
We need your help to continue our strong growth online. Help us today by clicking here and sharing the email addresses of 13 friends, family members and co-workers who you believe will be interested in learning more about Jeff and his campaign.
Each person whose information you share will receive a personal message introducing them to Jeff Harris and inviting them to join our campaign. We will not automatically add anyone to our list without their permission — Jeff is strongly anti-spam!
Don’t have 13 addresses to share? Just send us one, two or as many as you can. The goal is still the same, so please help us reach 1,300 new addresses by Midnight on Friday!
Thank you for taking part in this important campaign and for your committed support. With your help, we will elect an Attorney General who will fight for our values!

I am often asked by my supporters, “how can I get more involved in your campaign?” There are three ways that you can get involved in our campaign to make a real change for our campaign and Missouri politics, today.
1. Become a part of our Jeff 2.0 netroots campaign through social networking via Facebook or MySpace by clicking on the following links.

2. Go to our website, http://www.electjeffharris.com/getinvolved/ , and volunteer to help the campaign in whatever way that you can.
4. Go to our website, http://www.electjeffharris.com/events and find events that I will be at that are near you and help us pass out campaign literature and talk with voters. This would also be a great opportunity to meet me and talk further about other ways you can help our campaign.

There has been no stronger advocate for the Missouri Sunshine law than myself. I was amazed that after speaking against Governor Blunt’s effort to ignore the laws that I helped to create to make government more transparent, he used this law as a political tactic. I plan to comply with every last sunshine request his office sends because, unlike the Governor, I have nothing to hide.
Frankly I am honored to be targeted by this Governor because it shows that he does not want me in the Attorney General’s office. I have always led the charge against Governor Blunt’s agenda, which is something that one of my opponents cannot say because he was too busy working with the Governor. As the next Attorney General, I plan on creating a unit of the office to handle all Sunshine requests so that all requests are timely and faithfully executed.

In the last post, I talked about one of the technology pieces helping our campaign, which is part of Jeff 2.0, Facebook. I invite all who have a Facebook profile to become a supporter of mine by clicking the following link:

I am encouraged to see young and technologically savvy people embrace this campaign. Together, we will ensure that democratic ideals, like helping Missouri families, remain in the AG’s office.

Welcome to our new web blog. Our campaign has been using many technological tools, such as Facebook, Myspace, and now weblogs to start what we have been calling “Jeff 2.0” in the campaign office. I believe that this blog is another way for our campaign to reach out to those technologically savvy people who are interested in Missouri politics.
While the internet is a useful tool, it can be dangerous. As Missouri Attorney General, I will fight to make sure that, the internet is safe and that every Missourian’s identity is kept out of the hands of those that perpetrate frauds. Stay tuned to this blog as we talk about my vision for Missouri because I know that I am the candidate with the experience and integrity to do what is necessary to protect Missouri families.
